Please Scroll down the page to find the appropriate program for your daughter. Please pay special attention to the age of your daughter on 12/31/22 to ensure registration for the proper program.

If you would like your daughter to play up a division, please register her for the proper division and specify this desire in the request field on the registration form. Determinations will be made based on division director evaluations and enrollment.

If you receive an error message regarding the age or date of birth not being valid for the program selected, it may be due to a discrepancy in which family member you are trying to register. Please make sure you select the proper child. Many times if the age is not accepted it is because the parent is inadvertently registering the wrong child or themselves. Please check that you are selecting the proper individual associated with your account.
 

2023 Spring 6U Rec/House

Ages 5 or 6 on or before 12/31/2022


Season Start Date: April 22nd (weather permitting)

Regular Season End Date: June 10th

Cost: $85 before February 28; $110 after

Practice & Game Schedule: All teams meet once a week on Saturday mornings.  The first half of each session is practice and the second half is the "game". 

Program Description: The 6u division offers an introduction to the game of softball.  A soft baseball or low compression small softball is used for play, and players hit off a stationary batting tee at the beginning of the season. Coach pitch will be introduced as the season progresses. Basic fundamentals are taught with an emphasis on instruction over competition.  Teams are primarily formed by school attended to allow the players to see familiar faces, or to meet future classmates.

8U Winter Workouts @ B&G

Winter workout will be a great way for 8U girls to get ready for the upcoming season, working on fielding, hitting and pitching. This program is run by Ridgefield girls softball parents and Coach Tara, Coach Chis, Coach Katie and Coach Kate.

The training will be hosted at Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club, 41 Govenor St, in the gymnasium. There will be 6 sessions from 6:30-7:45 PM on the following Monday nights - 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/27. The cost for 6 sessions will be $100.

Players must be born in 2014 and 2015.

Base Cost: $100.00

2023 Spring 8U Rec/House

Ages 7 or 8 on or before 12/31/22

Season Start Date: April 2nd (weather permitting)

Season End Date: June 11th (possibility of post-season tournaments)

Cost: $170 before February 28; $195 after

Practices: All teams meet once during the week for practice. 

Games: All teams meet once on the weekend for a game starting April 22nd. Games will be played against other Ridgefield teams.

Program Description: The 8U fastpitch teams continue to have the goal of building player fundamentals and player skill improvement.  An 11” softball is used and delivered to the batter by a player from 30'-35’ with coach relief pitching.  The division director and/or coaches may elect to start the season with a coach pitch to provide time for the girls to be instructed on how to pitch.

Games may have umpires and scores may be kept.  There may be an opportunity for girls to play in a tournament at the end of the season.  The division director and coaches will select the tournament team based on regular-season performance, attendance, and availability.

2023 Spring 10U Rec/House

Ages 9 or 10 on or before 12/31/22


Season Start Date: April 1st (weather permitting)

Season End Date: June 11th (possibility of post-season tournaments)

Cost: $290 before February 28; $315 after

Practices: All teams meet once or twice during the week for practice. 

Games: All teams meet once on the weekend starting April 23rd.  Additional games may be scheduled during the week in lieu of practice.  The game may be played against other Ridgefield teams or teams from surrounding towns.

Program Description: The 10U fastpitch teams continue to have the goal of building player fundamentals and player skill improvement but at a higher level of competition.  An 11” regulation softball is used and delivered to the batter by a player from 35’ with coach relief pitching.

Teams are selected via a draft system in order to create a competitive balance between teams.  As a result, please understand that we generally cannot accommodate requests to be on the same team as another player, or to be placed on a particular coach's team.  If available, the games will be umpired by patched umpires.  Otherwise, high school students will umpire.  Scores and standings are kept.

There may be an opportunity for girls to play in a tournament at the end of the season.  The division director and coaches will select the tournament team based on regular-season performance, attendance, and availability.

Games: All teams meet once or twice on the weekend with games starting April 23rd.  Additional games may be scheduled during the week in lieu of practice.  The game may be played against other Ridgefield teams (if more than one Ridgefield team exists) and/or teams from surrounding towns.

Program Description: The 12U fastpitch teams continue to have the goal of building player fundamentals and player skill improvement but at a higher level of competition.  A 12” regulation softball is used and delivered to the batter by a player from 40’.
