Q&A's

Q. How many tournaments do the travel teams compete in each season?
A. Approximately 3 - 5 at 10U/12U/14U, with at least two of them local.

Q. How far away are the out-of-town tournaments?
A. Not more than 3 hours

Q. Is it feasible for my daughter to play multiple sports and also commit to a travel softball team?
A. We encourage girls to play multiple sports! Our fall and winter schedules are low key (usually one practice per week) allow the time for athletes to pursue other interests. Softball should take priority for spring and summer.

Q. Will there be more than one RGS travel team at the 10U and 12U levels?
A. Very possibly, depending on interest, and numbers.

Q. Which birthdays funnel into which levels?
A. in general, birth years 2011 & 2012 will play at 14U, 2013 & 2014 will play at 11/12U
and 2015 & 2016 will play at 10U.  Please reference USSSA website for complete age range breakdown as age ranges now run 9/1 - Aug 31st vs the calendar year.  Please contact Kelli with questions ([email protected]).

Q. Are girls who live outside of Ridgefield eligible to play?
A. Yes, per town field use rules, each team is able to take up to two out of town players.

Q. Are uniforms included in the season fees?
A. Yes, each travel player will receive home, away, and practice jerseys, along with pants, socks, and a belt.
